On November 15th , approved by China National Intellectual Property Administration, Hebei Intellectual Property Protection Center announced the 9th batch of enterprises that have put on file for patent preliminary examination and Xingtai Steel was one of the enterprises.
The enterprises which have put on file could submit their patents to Hebei Intellectual Property Protection Center for rapid preliminary examination. After passing the preliminary examination, the patents will submit to China National Intellectual Property Administration for rapid patent examination. It can greatly shorten the authorization period: the authorization period of invention patents will be shorten from 2 years to 3-6 months, and the authorization period of utility model patents will be shorten from 10 months to about 2 months.
The scope of patent preliminary examination includes 130 categories in terms of International Patent Classification and 29 categories in terms of Locarno Classification. As a main unit of innovation, Xingtai Steel will be able to achieve a rapid authorization of patents for products in high-end fields such as automobiles and achieve a better protection of the intellectual property to strongly promote the development of superior and speical steel products.
Aiming at the international high-end market, Xingtai Steel actively caries out independent research and development. In recent years, Xingtai Steel has had 73 provincial scientific and technological achievements, 67 provincial and municipal scientific and technological progress awards including 15 provincial scientific and technological progress awards. At present, Xingtai Steel has 178 valid patents, including 62 invention patents.
